Lemon Tree Cottage PID-STRA-1306-5

This Enchanting cottage has been beautifully renovated by the owners and no detail spared. Set on 11 acres of both paddock and bushland with a natural running spring however only 5 minutes drive from the centre of the Village.

Each room has its individual character with no comfort spared. The Federation style bathroom has underfloor heating for those cool Winter mornings. A log fire in the lounge.

The kitchen is equipped to the highest level so that you can prepare any culinary delight!

Outside there are places to sit and enjoy the view, wildlife or simply sit and listen to the birds in the shade of the old lemon tree or at the creeks edge as the clear waters flow past

  When they say "no detail spared", they really mean it. We were absolutely blown away by the design of the house (I took notes), how well equipped the kitchen was, the surrounding nature and wildlife (a wombat right in the backyard!), and it's position within the valley. Quiet and secluded, yet close to the local shops and pubs. Would love to return in winter to enjoy the fire place.

  We found ourselves scaping the city for three nights on an acreage only just within sight of another dwelling and the traffic sounds of civilization, and what a lovely experience it was! Lemon Tree Cottage has been lovingly refurbished from the original spartan mid-20th century fibro bush shack.
  Now it boasts a comfortable 3 bedroom house with an int3ersting outdoor "dining pavillion", all with vaguely Victorian features, plus an established cottage garden on a site with a little creek. There are pleasant walks both on the property and up the country roads nearby if you want to view the local wildlife ie many kangaroos and the odd cow. Everything inside Lemon Tree Cottage was of generous standard, from the king bed, fly screens even on verandah doors, quality kitchen equipment, fresh cushions and upholstery on the comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture...the list goes on. Fireplace was effective but hardly necessary at mid season, BBQ spanking new, TV had Netflix while the garden and house itself has a range of places to relax, read, or just contemplate as the mood takes you. Highly recommended. And good value too, since with only one bathroom and being a 5 minute drive from the centre of Kangaroo Valley this is more moderately priced than many of the flashier holiday rentals in the area. Perfect for a couple.

  I went away as a mum with two other mums for a relaxing weekend. This was the perfect location. It was quiet, warm, well equipped and a joy to spend time in. We had the best best best time and are desperate to go back again sometime soon.

  Perfect weekend away in beautiful surroundings. Almost everything has been thought of here, beds extremely comfortable, kitchen well equiped. Sitting on the back porch drinking a cup of tea whilst listening to the cicada concert in fortissimo was an uplifting experience! Only minor issue, was that, I thought a small supply of milk would have been nice so that we could have just unpacked and enjoyed a cuppa on arrival.Otherwise, this was a perfect break away from the city. I could not believe how cool it was inside the house whilst over 30 degrees during the day.

  Lemon Tree Cottage I discovered a few years ago as the perfect Winter escape. It had all the features I wanted for my holiday. Secluded with no traffic noise. Private with beautiful vistas from all windows. A fireplace for atmosphere. Self contained with a fabulous kitchen so I can do my magic making delicious meals. Character filled decor inside and out. It is cute as a button.

  We had a wonderful stay at Lemon Tree Cottage. Check in was super easy and when we arrived, the house was sparkling clean and fresh with plenty of the comforts of home, as well as a lovely bottle of wine as a gift. We loved the fireplace during our stay (which was cold and wet, but oh so cosy inside!) and truly appreciated the little touches such as quality linen on the beds, a heated floor in the bathroom and Nespresso coffee machine with pods. The kitchen was very well stocked with pantry items and facilities and we made good use of it as well as visiting local restaurants/cafes in the local village and Berry. The property was so beautiful, with lovely gardens and lush forests, creeks and bush surrounding it. We explored a bit with the kids and saw lots of kangaroos and much to our excitement, also wombats! We really had the best stay and made the most of some down time and relaxation as well. Kangaroo Valley is just a beautiful place to visit! We’d love to return and highly recommend Lemon Tree Cottage to others.

  Lemon Tree Cottage was a peaceful, serene retreat and only a stone's throw away from town. It is the perfect place to forget about all the uncertainty in the world and escape from all the troubles. It is fully equipped with everything needed for a few days and the beautiful creek running alongside the property was a delight to explore. We will definitely be back for a few days next year. We loved it so much.
